I have a user that says, "Our developers are checking in code into git stash with a comment that starts with a jira task, and no longer does jira see any data when we use the 'Git Commits' tab." Why is that and what do we do about it? Thanks

No add-on, just JIRA and Stash. The git commits tab is in JIRA. Some issues have info there and some do not, and we can't figure out what the difference is between the commits.
