JIRA latest version visual/ text mode

Jake LaFrance May 21, 2021

I am trying to use a template for ticket description to create color coded panels. In a previous version of JIRA there was a visual/text mode that would allow me to input this text to create color coded panels:

{panel:title=User Story|titleBGColor=#338dff|bgColor=#93dcfc}
*As a*
*I want*
*So that*
{panel}
{panel:title=Acceptance Criteria|titleBGColor=#00a508|bgColor=#83ff89}
#
{panel}
{panel:title=Assumptions|titleBGColor=#f19f20|bgColor=#ffbe5a}
#
{panel}
{panel:title=Tech Notes|titleBGColor=#9313ce|bgColor=#e1a0ff}
*API*:
*Comps*:
{panel}
{panel:title=Blockers/Open Questions|titleBGColor=#ff0101|bgColor=#ff5f5f}
-
{panel}

Hi @Jake LaFrance ,

The New Jira View doesn't support a Wiki Markup. You can get more detail in the ticket: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-69259

If you consider 3rd party addon solution for the ticket templates management - you may try our app Easy Templates for Jira issues. It allows setting and storing the description in the format that you have described.

Hope this helps,

Pavel

Thank you for the info @Pavel Pavlovsky_AppLiger_ ! I was at least able to use the info panels to create similar color coding
