At the moment, our one and only JIRA server is running out of Amazon's North Virginia datacentre.

We have a number of users based in China and other Asian countries and they are reporting significant delays, to the point where my CEO has tasked me with improving the situation :-).

My understanding of how JIRA operates suggest that having two separate instances of JIRA and somehow mirroring between the two would be highly problematic but I'm posing this question to see if anyone has any knowledge or experience, or if there are any consultants that have done this before and can be recommended.

Thanks.

Philip

PS. There is actually smart solution for it - to automate creation of snapshots..

but anyway it's better first to have a closer look what caused a delaysю

Hi Philip,

Here's the report from a customer using Cloudfare as a CDN solution https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/238553/confluence-jira-and-cdn-cloudflare maybe this could apply to your case.

Best regards,

Felipe Alencastro
