Per your description, I believe you want to know the time that your issues spent in the first status of the workflow until it got moved to the next one (In progress). Is that correct?
If that's what you are trying to achieve, I'm afraid Jira does not have a built-in report that provides this information for each issue specifically.
That being said, we completely understand how useful this feature would be, so we created the following feature request to implement that:
- Time In Source Status for each transition
Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.
As a workaround, there are some apps you can use to achieve this functionality, like:
- Time in Status for Jira
- Time Reports
Feel free to check the Atlassian marketplace for more apps that provide you with that functionality.
