JIRA data migration to different server.

So i am building a JIRA DEV server, currently we have fish/crucible beside jira running in Production. so my question is when i do a database migration from JIRA production server to the new dev server will the dev server connect to the Prod fisheye/crucible in any way. is there any thing i have to do beside disabling the mail notification from Dev server. 

I would not want my JIRA DEV server connecting  to any atlassian products that are running in PROD instance.
