JIRA create another ticket feature

I am using JIRA 6.3 on premise instance.Recently we have upgraded JIRA to 6.3

While checking create another ticket field,the assignee field is not getting auto populated with the values of previous ticket.Do I need to configure some where for this?

Not sure how you set this configuration before, but I'd advice you to take a look here:
