JIRA Structure Plugin - seeing version-specific info

Sean M February 24, 2015

We've been evaluating Structure and are getting fairly familiar with it. One thing we wish we could do is have a Structure auto-populate based on a version number, or a component. It wouldn't need to do anything fancy – just put the tasks into the root of the Structure for some human or other to sort into the right nesting within the Structure. The trick would be that to be really useful it'd have to keep auto-populating as the project moves along and new tasks are added.

How might we achieve this?

Hi Sean,

You'll need the Filter Synchronizer, it does exactly that.

If you're also using JIRA Agile, there's an Agile Synchronizer that will save your humans from having to manually apply the nesting.

Or if you have already JIRA Issue Links between your issues, then the Links Synchronizer should help.

Failing that, it's up to the humans. If you have any questions about synchronizers, fire away!

Cheers,

Robert
