JIRA Service Desk Agents to restrict access to some issue types

Hi All, 

Is there is a way to restrict access of some Issue types/Workflows for some Agents in the project?

Hi @Aravindi Amarasinghe,

You can first create an issue level security than set this in Create post-function depending to the issue type.

Ex; 

  • Incident -> Set default issue security as ex: "Incident Viewer" includes Group/Role A
  • Question -> Set default issue security as ex: "Question Viewer" includes Group/Role B

Than each group can see only the issues related with their security rights. But keep in mind that portal users shouldn't lose their access after creating it.

Please also check the jira service desk permissions.

Thanks for your answer, with few modifications according to our permission scheme it works for me.

Go to Issue Security and create a scheme then create the issue security.
