JIRA Server Releases and Versions timeout issue

Anyone ever experienced an issue where project Releases or Versions in Project Settings are unreachable from what seems to be a timeout and just get a spinning cirle in the middle of the screen with a min or so later a red error message with: "The call to the JIRA server did not complete within the timeout period. We are unsure of the result of this operation"

Currently running JIRA Server 7.3.1

Hi Vladimir,

Better late than never :D

This is sounds like a corrupt plugin cache.

Try doing these steps:

  1. Stop JIRA;
  2. Remove the below directories, that hold plug-in caches:
    (info) Those directories will be recreated upon JIRA's next startup.
  3. Ensure that the user which runs JIRA has the correct permissions on these directories (recursively);
  4. Start JIRA;
