Hi Team,
We have received a mail from Atallsian this week stating "JIRA SOAP API removal may affect your JIRA Cloud instance ".
Our current JIRA cloud version is JIRA v6.5-OD-07-005.
In the SOAP to REST API migration guide, I am able see the following REST API resources which are used by our applicatuon will be available only in JIRA 7.0 EAP which will be in live by JUL 6 2015 but our current applications are built using SOAP API, So how can we perform any simulation testing for all the equivalent REST API resources before the end date "6 July 2015".
Below is the message for few REST API's that we need to build in our new application. Now we are limited with time & all our current SOAP methods will fail post 6 JULY 2015.
Kindly suggest, how the below REST API's can be tested before the live version is in place by JUL 6 2015.
1."/rest/api/2/project (warning) Coming in JIRA 7.0 EAP"
2."rest/api/2/project{projectIdOrKey} (warning) Coming in JIRA 7.0 EAP"
3."/rest/api/2/project/{projectId} (warning) Coming in JIRA 7.0 EAP"
Regards,
Kingsly
Hi @J Kingsly Mano Doss,
Unfortunately it will not be possible to test the new resources in your own instance until the SOAP API has been removed. However, you can run an early EAP release on your own server of JIRA 7.0 to test the new REST resources.
A draft of the JIRA 7.0 REST API documentation is now available for you to use.
