JIRA Project Permissions

Daran Davis November 10, 2017
We are using jira 7.2.4 and I am a project lead. Our jira admins don't have permissions defined to allow project leads to modify their projects workflows, issue types, fields and screens. Is this a fundamental limitation or is it possible to allow each project lead on the server to manage their own workflows without affecting other projects?

7.3 allows for some workflow changes

7.4 adds a flag so your admins can stop your project leads making a mess with it

7.5 adds the ability to modify the screens

So, you'll need to upgrade to get some of those functions

Hi Nic,

Would a permissions scheme be required in the newer versions to allow this granular control.

Thanks

The thing they added to 7.4 was indeed a line in the permissions scheme.

Hello,

On Jira 7.2.4 it is not possible. This possibility appeared only from version 7.3. You can read more about it here
