JIRA Portfolio plugin: upload planned Iterations

We are evaluating the JIRA Portfolio plugin: It seems that the tool is only made to create some kind of planning based on an existing backlog were the planning still has to be done.

Is there a way how to Portfolio plugin could give us more visibility on our existing backlog / sprint plannings / version (releases)?

Can someone tell me what the added value would be of this plugin and what is the risk that it affects your current JIRA groomed / planned iterations / releases

Hi Daniel,

Basically, JIRA Portfolio provides a single, accurate view for planning and managing initiatives across multiple teams and projects in JIRA. It works with automatic scheduling and capacity planning.

I believe the following page can assist you in learning a bit more about Portfolio: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAPortfolio/JIRA+Portfolio+Home
