We have a small team that's brought in to work on specific tasks across all the projects in the company. Usually they're not involved in sprints so they're not involved in every sprint planning meeting.
Idea for handling:
I was thinking this could best be handled by having the PMs assign those specific issues to the shared team that I've already set up. Then I could setup a Portfolio plan with a "filter" source that species the team field and team.
Complication with assigning team:
However, one issue I'm finding is that the Team field can't be edited on an issue from the agile board view. I would like for other PMs to be able to assign the issue to a team and then we'll review it from the Portfolio plan.
How would I best go about setting this up or is there a better way of handling this situation that I'm missing?
I'm assuming this is only a capability within Portfolio because of the Teams feature. If this can be done with the normal JIRA Software I'd be interested in finding out how.
