JIRA - Issue with feature "Emailing an issue to users by mentioning them"

Francois M. FASBENDER July 11, 2012

Hello,
I would like to use the feature to email an issue to users by typing, in a comment, '@' and the user name. However I don't receive the dropdown list of suggested users.
The "Browse User" global permission has been fixed and the SMTP mail server has been configured as well.

Have you an idea? Is there a setting to fix somewhere?

Thank you very much for your help.

I'm working with JIRA 5.0.1.

François.

It sems the autocomplete only takes the login name and the mailaddress (not the display name). And there it only works when you start typing the name from the beginning, i.e.

username@example.com (mylogin)

is found by'user' and 'my' but not with 'name' or 'login'.

Thank you for the answer but this is not the cause of my problem since in our organization emails are the same as the login name.

ie: lu@example.com for login name = lu
