Followed these instructions to make it so you could email a specific address, and if it had an Issue ID in the subject, would create an appropriate JIRA comment.
The problem is that some of our users use different sending email addresses. If we have a user jsmith@example.com in JIRA, and they send from this email, all is good. But, sometimes they send email from jsmith@example.org or jsmith@example.net. When that heppens, we get an email handler error message.
Is there a way to give a user mulitple email addresses, so this doesn't happen?
Wondering if you have found a workaround for this.
As to my understanding - this is not an option in Jira since each user/email is unique and licensed. So a new email means another seat in your license plan.
