'JIRA AgileScrum Issue Type Scheme' is not created after installing JIRA Agile

Jirong Hu January 2, 2014

After installing JIRA Agile, I found the new workflow schema but there is no new issue type schema been created. I know I can create it myself, just want to know why it's not the same as documented. Is my installation no good?

Thanks

Jirong

Hi Jirong,

Agile Scrum Issue Type Scheme is automatically used only when applying a scrum template to a classic board.

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AGILE/Configuring+your+General+Project+Settings

I don't use it myself, but i'd assume that Jira Agile creates the scheme only if you apply the template to the classic board for a project. If you're using a Rapid board's tool that creates a project then it would assign your default issue type scheme.

I otherwise wasn't able to locate any documentation mentioning what you said, can you reference it?

I haven't created a new project or applied anything yet. I found this here while doing installation of Agile plugin:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AGILE/JIRA+Agile+-+JIRA+Configuration

Issue type scheme

At installation time, JIRA Agile will create a new issue type scheme called 'JIRA AgileScrum Issue Type Scheme' which contains the following issue types:

  • 'Bug'
  • 'Epic'
  • 'Improvement'
  • 'Story'
  • 'Technical Task' (sub-task)
