Clean JIRA 5.1 install, trying to synchronize with active directory - groups are imported successfully, however no users are imported. There are no error messages, too.

Any suggestions what could be the cause of this?

Ok, the problem was with the "User Object Filter" under User Schema Settings. Apparently this particular system did not like some of the parameters that worked perfectly fine on another (similar) system where we installed JIRA.

Once we changed those, users imported correctly.

Are the users also under the baseDN that you gave? If so, did you add any userDN filters?

Since grups are coming, connection is probably working fine!

There are no userDN filters, and baseDN should be correct - the groups are syncing.
