This is actually a bug, which has been solved on the latest JIRA version (5.2.6). You may view the bug report from here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-31345

Hi Shampa,

There are many factors to consider upon upgrading, such as whether JIRA will be upgraded on the same machine, the type of distribution (EAR/WAR or standalone) and etc.

The complete documentation for upgrading can be found on this link: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA052/Upgrading+JIRA.

Also, it is recommended to test the upgrade before proceeding with upgrading on the production installation.

Hope this helps.

It says the SSL you are using is Self Signed. Not from public ( valid ) SSL provider.

You may avoid the warning or download and install the SSL on your local machine, will solve the issue.
