Issues with my roadmap overriding my schedule

Hi, 

 

I am trying to add a start and end date for each epic on my roadmap and include an original estimate. I have been mostly successful. However, JIRA is automatically overriding my start and end date for just a few of the epics, which I don't want, changing my timeline. How can I stop this from happening?
