Issues & Filters: how do I force JIRA to present ALL Issues sorted by date of creation

David Lagewaard October 4, 2019

In itself it's simple. If I click [Issues & Filters} the next thing that should appear is the list of ALL issues with the latest issue at the top.

You could create a simple filter that you could easily access as you describe.

Yes, but it's still one step to many. How do I get that filter in the primary list of filters.

Could you explain what you mean by "primary list of filters"?

David Lagewaard October 5, 2019

Certainly.

Normally I start Jira from a notification mail. After loggin in

Jira Software
Starred and recent
Search
Create

[Hamburger] Expand.

After clicking the Hamburger the following menu appears
Boards
Issues & Filters
Reports
Releases
Components
Add Item
Project settings

After clicking [Issues & Filters] the following menu appears

My open issues
Reported by me
All issues
Open issues

Created recently
Resolved recently
Updated recently
View All filters

I click [view all filters] This brings me a list of all filters.

I click the filter as created per your suggestion.

And then finally I have the list I need.4 steps, IMHO 3 to many.

By allowing a user to place at least one specific personel filter in the menu [Issues and filters] you save that user 2 steps in getting the list he works with all the time.

MY PERSONAL FILTER

All issues

There's no way to amend that list without code
