Issue Stat Page Removed from JIRA Version 7?

Ryan Stufft March 3, 2016

One thing we've noticed is the stats page that was accessible in the old version from the main product page then selecting 'Issues' in the left panel. Was this removed permanently or was it temporary for reconfiguration in a later release? This was a feature many in our organization liked having. Or, am I missing it and it was moved elsewhere?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ryan,

The statistics page was indeed removed and replaced by a set of issue filters. By default, it shows the open issues, but by selecting the Switch Filter link next to the filter title, you can choose from a variety of different filters.

The filters are mainly focused on open issues, recent updates or issues requiring attention in some way, but they don't offer the full project overview of issues by status, by reporter or assignee as the previous view used to do. You could however create a project dashboard which will offer you pretty much the same information as you used to have available on the issue summary page.

Gadgets that might be useful for that might be the pie chart (if you want to represent issues against 1 dimension such as issue type) or two dimensional issue statistics (if you want to combine 2 dimensions, such as status versus component).
