I've been trying to find a way to introduce custom screens between a transition of two custom statuses.

What are the ways I could do it ?

Issue Operation seems pretty generic in nature

Edit the workflow, looking at the transition you want to have a screen on.  You'll find you can associate any screen already created in the system in there.  When someone uses the transition, it will pop up that screen.

Thank you Nic - configured it successfully.

I was stuck for some time as it didn't work - and then I realized that I haven't published the workflow. All good now.
