Issue Link reporting

 We are trying to get reporting on linked issue default & custom fields.  

We have multiple issues linked in one direction (in a daisy chain).

Issue Type-Business Need Linked to Issue Type-Functional Requirement Linked to    Issue Type-Use Case Linked to Issue Type-Test Case Linked to Issue Type-Defect

The report calls for the following data across the top of the report:  

Functional Requirement (FR) Key / FR Summary I FR Description / Linked Test Case(TC) Key / Linked TC Summary / Linked TC Description / Linked TC Status / Linked Defect (D) Key / Linked D Summary / Linked D Description / Linked D Status   

Can this be done?

This is absolutely doable with these two add-ons, depending on the desired file format:

  1. PDF document: PDF View
  2. Excel spreadsheet: Better Excel (Excel has fairly limited formatting capabilities, therefore if your descriptions are using non-trivial formatting then it may not be a great choice)

For the report, a custom template (which defines the output) and a short Groovy script (which traverses the links) is needed. See the documentation of the corresponding add-on.
