Is there a way to track Epics to Features to User Stories to Tasks?

We are trying to track Epics down to the task level.  Is there a way to do that on a Kanban board?

So Epics are broken into Features, sometimes more than one Feature.

Features are broken into User Stories, sometimes more than one User Story.

User Stories are broken into multiple tasks.

Is there a way to track the Epic through to the task level, where there are multiple Features and User Stories associated?

Hello cchorner@gwu.edu

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

I understand you would like to have multiple hierarchy levels in your Jira environment, in a way that you could clearly see their roll-out in Jira issue-view. Is that correct?

At this moment, Jira can only be configured with three hierarchy levels: Epics > Standard issue types (Story, Task, bug, etc) > Sub-tasks. That being said, we understand that some users require more hierarchy levels to accurately manage their scenario, that's why we created a feature request to allow more types of hierarchy levels in Jira:

Sub-issues should be able to contain their own sub-issues

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

As a workaround, there are some third-party apps that provide you with the possibility to add more hierarchy levels in Jira, like Structure - Project Management at Scale.
