Is there a way to restrict permissions for Jira CC field?

I would like to restrict ability of being added to CC field only for users from specific JIRA groups or roles, similarly to watchers. Alternatively workflow validation rules solution is accessible. 

  Any help on this matter will be appreciated.

Actually I found solution in this plugin https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.fca.jira.plugins.workflowToolbox.workflow-toolbox , which has "Users in a field is/isn't in a project role" workflow validator.

Thank you Paula, However this plugin provides permissions to maintain custom fields based on certain criteria. I'm trying to validate content of "Multi User Picker" field, based on this criteria.
