Is there a way to make the issue type field default to a blank? (Jira 5.2)

Hi,

I have a project with 4 issue types -- when someone opens a new issue, it picks one of the 4 issue types by default. The behavior I would like is to have the default be blank, and *then* have the customer pick 1 of the 4 issue types. As it is right now, users in a hurry often pick the wrong issue type because it is chosen by default.

How do I modify this? I'm assuming a javascript tweak of some sort?

You don't have to have a default. Then it just says to select one.

that's what's weird -- the default is set to none already -- but when I create the issue, it has already picked one of the issues types in the drop down.
