Is there a way to limit the number of displayed issues on a sprint board without constraints?

My QA team uses a sprint board that aggregates all sprints in the organization. Sometimes a backlog can have several issues that have to be rendered on a page. This makes the loading time and the interface a little too cumbersome.

Perhaps a "show more" link after 10 issues could help. Any change to the interface that would help in this matter would be appreciated.

The board itself is just a filter. I really want to limit to the top 10 issues in each column (kanban) and have the option to show the overflow at will.

I agree, the board is just another way to show JIRA Filters. Have you tried adding Quick Filters buttons yet? There's no native "show more" link in JIRA natively so it's either you create a "feature" request to Atlassian about this one or create your own add-on for it.
