Is there a way to hide specific users activity from the Activity Stream?

We have a few bots that their actions on some of our automated process are clogging up the activity stream with noise.  I need a way to hide them from the feed.

You can add (or expand) a filter on your Activity Stream add

Username  is not  <Your Botname1>,<Your Botname2>,...

Is that going to be per user I assume? Is there a way to do this on the back end as not to bother the end user to make adjustments?

if user have their own dashboards then yes it's per user. If users use shared Dashboards, then only the owner of the dashboards needs to adapt it.
