We have some requests that are expensive to resolve and we'd like to be able to prevent the person that made the request from commenting on them after they have been resolved. I've been unable to find a way to prevent the comment field from appearing on the request screen after the underlying issue has been marked resolved.
I believe you can still do this:
Setting the two properties below had no effect on the request screen.
jira.issue.editable -> false
and
jira.permission.comment.user -> denied
