We are using default notification setup and I see how I can change who receives notifications AND when they receive them - but can I add or delete the content in the notification.
Specifically - users who are being assigned a TASK want to have the Story Subject included in the email as well.
As well you can use an "email this issue add-on" wich make a configuration process easier cause it uses jira administration interface.
It provides you an option to create a specific e-mail template for project / issue type / and standard jira event. Also you can use a JQL-filter rule so you can use different e-mail template for every rule.
