We find it hard to differentiate between the 3 Up arrows for Highest/High/Medium Priority and the 2 Down arrows for Low/Lowest Priority.
If you edit your priorities, you need Jira admin permissions, you have the option to also change the icon used. Just go to Administration > Issues > Priorities.
If you are on Server you can always look in the /images/icons folder, there a couple of other icons in there besides the default ones. On Cloud you would have to create your own or link to external ones.
