Is there a way to automatically email out a view of an active kanban board?

Is there a way to automatically email out a view of an active kanban board? 

The question came up in a conversation the other day and I am having a hard time finding anything that points to if this is possible or not.

Not really.  A board is a representation of "now" and isn't really intended to be a snapshot view (which would be instantly obsolete).  Atlassian have built a lot of them with javascript and other dynamic stuff which makes it very hard to do anything more clever than a screenshot.

The best you can do that is built into JIRA would be to take the board filter and subscribe to it.
