Is there a log that can provide more details regarding errors?

Hi,

I'm evaluating the clone Project Plugin. I got an error when I tried to clone a project. The error message I got is very general and I don't have any clue what's wrong with the process. Is there any way to see the log to understand the errors?

Thanks,

Shady

Errors from add-ons usually get echoed out to the application logs, so I'd start with a look in <JIRA home>/logs - probably atlassian-jira.log first

You can also look at changing the error level reporting for the plugin to provide more detail in the log file.

See https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver071/logging-and-profiling-802592962.html for more details on how to achieve this.

Contact the plugin vendor through another channel if they don't respond here. They will be able to give you the log settings to see more info. Then suggest to them that they fix their doc page at https://metova.com/metova-project-clone-plugin/ and also add this troubleshooting info.
