Is there a code block macro for Jira?

Kelly Cross April 30, 2015

I am looking for a code block macro for JIRA to support displaying line number, similar to https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Code+Block+Macro for Confluence. Is something like this available?

For rich-text fields in JIRA you can use a code maco, see https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Editing+Rich-Text+Fields

The JIRA instance I manage has been upgraded over time from version 3.5 so, my systems defaults for system fields are not rich text. If you are in the same situation, see this manual page about configuring the renderers on the fields: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+Renderers

There is also a plugin for this: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/jira.plugin.syntaxhighlighter.macro.syntaxplugin
