Is there a Jira/Stash refresh interval?

We've integrated JIRA 6.4 and Stash 3.9 using Application Links.

When creating a new branch from within JIRA the branch itself is created instantly in Stash, but when going back to JIRA I don't see the newly created branch.

I checked back later and the branch is visible. It seems like JIRA is only syncing with Stash like every 30 minutes.

What can be the reason for this? Is there a config var to define a sync/refresh interval?

Update: It's a communication problem between Stash and Jira. Stash can't communicate with our JIRA webservices. Our WS Gateway between the 2 applications is blocking that request.
But anyway, configuring the sync refresh interval would be a good idea.

We are also having unpredictable problems in the Jira-Stash integration. The "Development" section in the Jira issues sometimes does not appear. But a refresh or simply waiting for a while seems to clear the problem. So we are also curious about any sync delays between the two applications.
