We will be upgrading to JIRA Latest in the near future. We are excited about the "creator of issue" data in the "change history" tab. Will this data be available retroactively, i.e for data that was entered before the upgrade?
No. It can't be - the problem this addresses exists because there is nowhere to store the creator at the moment. It's not logged, it's gone, was never written anywhere. The entire nature of the problem was "person entering the issue is not recorded in any way". So there's no way this can be retroactive. In fact, if it could be, then there would never have been an issue in the first place.
