Is the Jira Import Wizard for Trello considered experimental?

I am trying to import a Trello board using the tool, and I'm getting impossible-to-diagnose errors when I run it.

Is this considered an experimental or beta feature? To make use of Jira we will be regularly migrating boards from Trello one-way, but if the tool doesn't work we'll have to figure out some other way.

Removing check lists does not help as there are not that many checklists (in thread mentioned above there were thousands).

Even the boards we are trying to import are not that big.

The issues you mentioned above were created 30/Sep/2016 and are in OPEN status with no assignee. Is there progress being made on those? (yes, yes, I know, please vote...)

Currently there are no out-of-the-box ways to import data from Trello to JIRA (even though both are owned by Atlassian...) and the workaround is to download a 3rd party browser extension to get data out in CSV format (which means attachment data cannot be exported) or to convert JSON output to CSV. That is without the enterprise sub.

The error we are getting is almost identical to that of Will's - impossible to troubleshoot. No more info on logs either.

Should we open a support request to Atlassian to help us dodge this issue or what are we expected to do?

@Artem Chatlikov I don't know if you are having the same issue. The best way to proceed in this case is to open a support request in support.atlassian.com and paste  the import logs in there.

Hi Dario,

Yup, we went through this process but were not able to get any closer to resolution thru support. We suspect it was either the pagination issue or illegal character. 

The Chrome extension workaround was enough in this case.

The error we got was same as above
