Is it possible to remove the "assign yourself as watcher" when you edit/assign?

Cody Chamberlain May 12, 2017

We have recently upgraded to JIRA 7.3.2 and any issue that is touched now seems to automatically assign you as a Watcher.  This is causing alot of spam emails for us.  Is there any way to turn this behavior off? I seem to only be able to turn of Watchers completely.

Thanks!

Check your profile for "automatic watch" and disable it if you don't want to use it.

ITs currently showing the following:

Autowatch: Inherit from global settings

That being said, where in global settings is this function?

All i see in general settings is Allow users to watch issues ON, nothing about autowatch.

**** Sorry i found it from another post you mentioned...

It moved in 6.  Go to Admin -> System and look for "default user preferences"
