Is it possible to migrate from jira cloud to long running self-hosted server

jflow February 25, 2015

We have a running self hosted server (5+ years) and are now wanting to migrate another departments JIRA cloud project into the self hosted server. They didn't know about our server when they started their project and now our IT department would like to centralize all our data in house.

I have read the docs about moving to a self-hosted server but doing a full restore wipes all existing data in the server before importing the new data.

Is there a way to merge the cloud project into our server?

Thanks for any and all help

Jon

Hi Jon. You can merge the two instances using the Project import tool. Just follow the instructions in this link https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/How+to+Merge+JIRA+Instances
