I am using webhooks to notify OpsGenie (a paging solution) about new tickets that are opened in JIRA. Now OpsGenie can only take actions only based on contents of the JIRA internal fields. Custom fields are not "looked at" by OpsGenie.
Now, is it possible to somehow make the Priority field to have the same value as the Severity field so that it is reported on the web hook appropriately?
Not out-of-the-box, no. Although it begs the question: If you're able to map them, why not just use Priority?
Because we need to have "1-Critical" as a value instead of the default "Blocker" and some other teams will put out a hit on me if I change the field. :(
