Is it possible to link a Jira Software project to individual Confluence pages rather than a space?

Nathaniel Davies November 26, 2020

Currently, unless I'm missing something, it appears that each Jira Software project can be linked to a single Confluence space.

The upshot of this (within our organisation) is that we're having to create a separate Confluence space for each of our Jira projects. We don't mind having many projects, but having a lot of spaces is getting quite messy quite quickly - we'd much rather have a single 'project management' space with all of this sort of info for all of our projects.

Is there

  • A way of linking a Jira software project to a subtree within Confluence?
  • A way of excluding certain pages from appearing in the Project Pages section
  • A nice way of organising many spaces within Confluence?

Cheers

Nathaniel,

Welcome to the community.  We have had the same issue.  We have a single space for different project groupings.  Instead of linking a space we just use the project shortcuts and link the the top level page in the space that has all the project information underneath it.  We also provide high level access to everyone in the space but create groups that have specific access to the projects areas in that space.  Hope this helps.

Hi Brant,

Thanks for the reply - this makes sense to me. We'll give this a go, seems like it should work nicely.

Cheers!
