Is it possible to hide the assignes for some users?

Hi,

we use jira with customers. Is it possible to hide the assigne for issues to customers?

ah, I didn't know that plugin.

And once again another commercial plugin for things one would expect from Atlassian... 800 USD... a lot of money...

A workaround would be to hide the assignee field on create/edit screens and add it only on a wrokflow transition screen. You will have to then use the workflow action to change the assignee!

Security on field level is not and will not be implemented by Atlassian. Look here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-1330
