Is it possible to customize the 'Releases' view in a JIRA project

Our client would like to have more fields displayed in the project Releases view. Such as the component(s) included in each release.

Is it possible to do that?

That is not OOTB possible to modify this view. It would required probably some hacks or customization. I suggest to simply create a filter and add those custom fields with values that customer want to see. Maybe create a dashboard also with more gadgets and have it even better than this view! :)
