Is it possible to create clones at the create step based on custom field settings? Then tailor the fields within the clones? Then delete/close the original?

OK so here's the step by step on what I mean:

Issue is created with a custom field called 'Languages'. The user has a choice of 5 languages and selects 2 of them (lets say English and French).

The issue then generates 2 clones. 1 of them then has the Language field English, the other has French. The original issue is then deleted or moved straight to closed.

ALTERNATE: The original Issue retains English within the custom field, but a clone auto generates with French.

Is this possible?

You might be able to do this with Jelly Scripts.

  1. Create a filter with issues you want to close
  2. Loop the issues and get the value(s)
  3. Create the new issues based on the value(s)
  4. Transition the parent issue
