Is it possible to completely disable anonymouse access in Jira?

David_Michael October 29, 2014

We recently had an issue where an uninformed user who had permissions on a project granted access to it to anonymous users. We would like to allow project admins to grant authenticated users access but not anonymous ones.

Thanks

Check the permission schemes and make sure "anyone" is not used anywhere in them.

I'm concerned about the "user who had permissions on a project granted access to anonymous users" - only administrators can do that by changing the permission schemes, so it suggests you need to look into training your adminis.

Maybe they did it through Project Roles. But, that should be restricted to the project lead or project admins
