Is it possible to collaborate in real time on the same story?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Editing and collaborating on issues

We would like to edit store name, description, estimates from different computers during our backlog grooming meeting. We've noticed that even separate fields are overwritten when another user saves the same story.

We are accustomed to Google doc-style of collaboration where edits are viewable in realtime.

If you do inline editing then only the single field is updated with the changes made by the last person to save. If you open the issue for editing and make multple changes then this is saved as a single change and will overwrite any other changes that have been made.

I'd also add that JIRA is an issue tracker, for sharing information, not a document editing system for collaborating.  It's unusual for people to be making large simultaneous edits to issues.  As a general rule of thumb, you're all in a meeting talking about the issues (so have one person in charge of updates), or the issue should have a clear ownership, and that's the person who should be making updates (noting that comments while they're editing won't break what they're doing).

The google real-time editing is really good for collaboration on documents, and it's something Atlassian are building for Confluence 6
