Is it possible to add text into a custom field on ticket creation?

We currently have an issue type which is used for on boarding new users to a project.

Is it possible to make text be posted into a custom field upon the ticket being created? For example if someone ticked the developer role it would add into the field what they need access to, so Gitlab for example.

Not sure if you figured this out, but this is possible with Automation for Jira. Hope you were able to find a solution to this question.
