Is a sub task the best way to track usability testing efforts?

What is the best way to track usability testing efforts in JIRA?  A new issue type or a sub-task?  This would be for work being done for a summative test.  Thank you.

Thanks for the quick response Daniel.  We are looking to track the build of a test and the execution,  Our thought is to create a issue type for this and we could have sub tasks to define the assigned work.  Does that make sense?  Thank you!

Are you able to provide any further specific information?

If you would like to  track total cost of testing a release or build. I suggest creating a sub task as JIRA will roll the effort of the usability testing onto the effort of the parent task.

But this does mean that you likely not be able to set a issue type for that task that is not SubType. Hope this helps.
