Is 2 factor authentication required if our Jira cloud is already integrated with Azure AD?

i need one information, do we still need 2 factor authentication if our jira cloud is already integrated with Azure AD for authentication. Since our client is asking about this, what we can tell to them.

@ramani_chandran

When SAML single sign-on is configured with Azure AD, users won't be subject to Atlassian password policy and 2FA if those are configured for your organization.

This means that any password policy and 2FA is essentially "skipped" during the login process.

If you want to have 2FA enforced, we recommend that you enforce it at Azure level.

Hi @Veera ,

Thanks for your reply on this. We will implement it from azure end.
