IntelliJ connector 3.0.11 1306101201 can't log in to onDemand Jira using Google Account

Huw Byrne-Jones July 7, 2013
Whenever I or any of my colleagues try and log in to our onDemand Jira instance using our company Google accounts we get a 401 error. Are there any plans to enable Google account sign in through the connector? Or any workarounds to use Google accounts with the connector? Our company recently moved all accounts to Google so it would be very useful to be able to carry on using the connector...

Hi Huw,

You need to use the local JIRA password of your users to authenticate via IntelliJ connector and not the Google's Account password. If you don't know what is your local user's password is you might need to reset it.

To reset you users JIRA password go to Users (https://example.atlassian.net/secure/admin/user/UserBrowser.jspa), click on top of the username you want to reset, click on Actions on the top right and on Set Password.

Hope it helps!

Regards,

Marlon
